Side Dish: Rutabaga, Onion and Bacon

INGREDIENTS

1 Rutabaga (peeled and sliced)

1 onion sliced thin

1/2 lb crispy bacon (crumbled)

Salt

Pepper

RECIPE

Add bacon to pan and fry until crispy. Set bacon aside to cool, then crumble. Add rutabaga and onions to pan, cover and cook on medium heat for approximately 15 minutes. Be sure to stir occasionally. When rutabagas are fork-tender, remove lid and cook until all vegetables are starting to brown. Salt and pepper to taste.
