Part 1 – Intro to Macros

Recently, we teamed up with my good friend, EC Synkowski of OptimizeMe Nutrition. If you’ve been around in the CrossFit community for some time now, there is a great chance you know who EC is or have listened to one of her talks about nutrition at a CrossFit certificate course. EC has an M.S. in Human Nutrition & Functional Medicine and is a Certified CrossFit Level 4 Coach. Let’s just say EC knows all about optimal nutrition and performance!

A few weeks back, I asked EC to put together a series of videos to explain more about Macros in an effort to better help you achieve your health and fitness goals. While we continue to recommend eating wholesome, nutrient-dense foods as close to nature as possible (in quantities that support your activity level), we also strongly recommend that you continue to experiment and tweak your diet to best suit your personal needs and goals. After all, there is not one diet that perfectly fits everyone (although Paleo is pretty darn close=).
